Our first session is an opportunity for you to tell me the nature
of your concerns and for you to see if you’re comfortable in my office, with my responsiveness to your concerns and to decide
if it seems like a “good match.”
The questions you might ask yourself would be “Does she get it?” “Do I feel heard?” “Does her suggested approach offer a sense
of confidence and security in the therapeutic relationship?”
At the conclusion of our first session I will formulate a general treatment plan
for our work together, and suggest a variety of paths for treatment. We can then discuss whether to pursue working together, or I can suggest alternative referrals.
