Depression is a symptom that’s determined by a variety of influences. I rely on your subjective experiences and symptoms, your history of depression, and the history of depression in your family.
I’ll ask about stressors in your life and any medical history that may be affecting your mood. I refer, as needed, to appropriate medical providers for medication.
We’ll look at relationship and lifestyle issues that may be impacting your mood, and work to create life-balance and a self-care programs. This may include an exercise program, relaxation exercises, nutrition evaluation, sleep evaluation, mindfulness training, self-hypnosis and more.
